Solfege for Chromebook

Solfege on Chromebook :Solfège is a program for signing notes. For anyone who is aware of the popular Hammerstein and Rogers songs ‘Do-Re-Mi’ from The Sound of Music, you know the solfège notes names: do, re, mi, fa, sol, la and ti

The unique solfège—also known as solfeggio and solmization—note titles obtain from an 11th-century hymn by Guido d’Arezzo, where the solfège syllable is the first observe of each term. The beginning notes of each term are C, D, E, F, G, A:

There are actually two primary features of solfege:

  1. Fixed Do, through which every single syllable matches a note-name. This is comparable to the Romantic program naming pitch after the solfege syllables, and can be used in Romantic and Slavic nations, among others.
  2. Movable Do, or Solfa through which every single syllable matches a degree of the scale. This is comparable to the Guidonian practice of providing every degree of the hexachord a solfege name and is usually used in Anglo-Saxon and Germanic nations.
